Directions
from
Knoxville, TN

Travel Interstate 40 East from Knoxville.  North of Knoxville, bear to the left onto Interstate I-81 North.  Continue on I-81 to the Johnson City exit (exit 57A) which is I-26.  Continue on I-26 through Johnson City, and exit onto Highway 321.  Follow Highway 321 to Elizabethton.  Continue on Highway 321 through Elizabethton to a small town called Hampton, TN.   In Hampton, Highway 321 will separate and bear off to the left.  DO NOT TAKE HIGHWAY 321.   Instead, stay on what will now be called Highway 19E.

Continue on Highway 19E to Elk Park, NC.  In Elk Park, turn left onto Highway 194.  Follow Highway 194 for seven miles to Banner Elk.  Highway 194 is curvey, so drive carefully.   Go past Lees McRae College.  At the next traffic light, turn right onto Highway 184.  Follow Highway 184 to the end (the intersection of Highway 184 and Highway 105).  Turn left onto Highway 105 North.

You will go through small community called Foscoe.  As you leave Foscoe, look for a billboard for the Gamekeeper Restaurant and/or Hound Ears Club.  Take the next right turn which is Old Shulls Mill Road.  Follow Old Shulls Mill to a stop sign.  This is Shulls Mill Road.  Turn right onto Shulls Mill Road.  Follow Shulls Mill Road for 3.5 miles.  You will pass through Hound Ears Club.  Continue on "up the mountain."  Yonahlossee Resort is on Shulls Mill Road.  The main entrance to the Resort will be on your left.

If you are using GPS navigation, please use the Gamekeeper Restaurant's address which is 3005 Shulls Mill Road.

Keep in mind that distances will seem longer than mileage indicates because of the curvy mountain roads.
